Toyota's TRD Goes Off-Road
Best known for supplying it's racing parts and accessories to street-legal cars, Toyota's Toyota Racing Development (TRD) is expanding it's line-up to supply factory-installed off-road kits to Toyota's line-up of trucks. Starting with the 2015 model year of four-wheel-drive versions of Toyota's Tacoma, Tundra and 4Runner light trucks, TRD Pro editions will be the most advanced off-road package that Toyota has ever offered. Ready for extreme off-roading, TRD Pro editions will be backed by Toyota's same 3-year/36,000 mile warranty as stock models. More

Urban Mobility: Toyota's Attractive Solution
Urban pollution is a problem here, as well as in cities all over the world. We recently heard that the city of Paris, France is demanding sacrifices from motorists in order to reduce pollution caused by cars. Just like we do in the summer with lawn watering, vehicles with even registration numbers can be driven one day, and those with odd numbers can be driven the next. A big problem is people's reluctance for change their routines, and convincing them to take public transit. Toyota may have a solution in the works. The Japanese automaker has announced that they have started real-world testing of their "i-Road", a personal transportation vehicle that try out in the Greater Tokyo Area. These tests, taking place from March 24 through to early June, are of a limited duration meant to assess the effectiveness of the electric vehicle in real-life situations within an urban environment. Toyota Remains World's Biggest Automaker In 2013
The competition was fierce, and there was a lot of talk, it seemed that every automaker was going to be the one to dethrone them in 2013. Despite everything though, Toyota held firm, and remained the world's biggest automaker in 2013. Toyota had hoped to be the first automaker in the world to sell more than 10 million vehicles in a single year, but stopped short of that figure with sales of 9.98 million cars. The Japanese automaker has already said that they will beat that number in 2014, forecasting a 4 percent increase, bringing sales to 10.32 million units. That number, and Toyota's continued success is especially impressive, considering the major setbacks that company continues to suffer from after the 2011 earthquake-tsunami disaster that happened in Japan. It has held the crown in every year since 2008, the exception being 2011 when the disaster wiped out production for the year. Prior to 2008, GM had held the top spot for nearly 80 years! More
